An independent opinion on annual financial statements, with on-site inventory observation and signed reporting for banks, shareholders, and regulators.
From ¥1,800,000
Who this engagement is for
Japanese stock companies, limited liability companies, and regional groups that must present audited annual financial statements to shareholders, lenders, or counterparties. Typical clients include manufacturers with warehouses in Shikoku, trading houses with multi-branch cash, and family-owned firms preparing for a bank covenant review.
Result you receive
A signed independent auditor’s opinion on whether the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the company’s financial position and results, together with a management letter summarizing control observations and adjusting entries discussed during fieldwork.
Scope included
- Engagement planning and risk assessment against Japanese GAAP presentation
- Tests of account balances, cut-off, and revenue recognition
- Physical inventory observation at agreed locations
- Bank and receivable confirmations
- Related-party inquiry and subsequent-events review
- Draft and final opinion letter, plus an exit meeting with management
Scope excluded
- Bookkeeping, journal entry preparation, or tax return filing for the audited entity
- Valuation opinions for M&A pricing
- Continuous monitoring or monthly accounting support
- Guaranteeing a clean opinion when evidence is insufficient
Provider and delivery
Led by a partner of Takumi Audit Bureau with a fieldwork team. Delivery is primarily on-site at your offices and warehouses, with document review between visits. Typical duration: two to four weeks of fieldwork for a mid-sized single-entity close, longer for consolidations.
Preparation and constraints
Provide trial balances, prior-year packs, bank reconciliations, fixed-asset registers, and access to the general ledger before planning. Independence rules mean we cannot also prepare your books. Material weaknesses discovered late may extend the timeline or modify the opinion.
Pricing basis
Fixed engagement fee after scoping, typically from ¥1,800,000 depending on entity count, inventory locations, and prior-year findings. A deposit is due on acceptance of the engagement letter.
